Common name is the red Yucca, Hesperaloe parviflora. This is an extremely hardy exotic when planted is well drained soil. Makes a great addition to a desert style garden and a fantastic partner for Agaves and Yuccas. Excellent for edging dry areas blooming from early spring to late summer and attractive to butterflies.
The Hesperaloe parviflora is amazing, a tough but very elegant grass-like plant which acclimatises itself to extremes of weather conditions.
One of the most cold tolerant plants, it is hardy down to temperatures of -25 degrees, and requires no maintenance.
A Yucca-like plant that forms a rosette of stiff, narrow, grooved, blue-green leaves. Long flower spikes appear with very attractive red flowers rise in mid summer.
