Screening Trees

Screening trees are perfect for hiding an eyesore, giving privacy from overlooking neighbours or even creating a room within a garden. They come in various forms, simply a tall mature free standing tree will give a natural screen or if a more formal screen is required then for a higher screen the pleached form is perfect as this has a clear stem of approximately 1.5 meters then a trained crown on a frame to act as a barrier. Finally the espalier form is available in different sizes these are on metal frames and screen from ground level up-to a height of 3.5 metres.

Olive trees make perfect screens as they are evergreen and offer year long coverage unlike many of the more commonly found screening trees such as beech and hornbeam.
