Growing your Niwaki cloud Olive Tree

Cloud pruned olive trees are growing in popularity. They provide interest and impact to your garden or patio. A visual treat with their stunning topiary cloud plates. We work closely with DEFRA and all our Olive trees are inspected regularly and have passed all inspections and are Xylella free.

How hardy is the Niwaki cloud Tree

Olive trees are hardy to -15C and evergreen. Due to their small leaf span they are also wind resistant.

Maintaining cloud pruned olive tree topiary is straightforward. Olive trees should be pruned before and after the winter frosts.

Olive trees will survive in their pots or containers if you top dress the pot with fresh soil every year. We recommend John Innes No 3.

We have created an organic ‘slow release’ feed to ensure your Olive  gets the nutrients it requires. High in potassium, phosphate and magnesium it enriches the soil and encourages tree growth.

You can plant out Olive trees, they make an excellent feature in your garden design. Underplant with your favourite Mediterranean plants.
