Growing wisteria in the UK
For the best flowering, plant in a sunny, sheltered position in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Wisteria can grow vigorously and needs a strong, permanent support, along with regular pruning to encourage flowering and keep growth under control. It is particularly effective trained over a pergola or against a sunny wall, where its flowers can be admired at close quarters.
Wisteria may take time to establish and flower, so patience and correct pruning are worthwhile. Remember that all parts of wisteria, particularly the seeds and pods, are poisonous if eaten.

A note about delivery
Due to the height of this plant, its supporting cane will need to be removed for transport. Your wisteria will therefore arrive without the original tall cane in place. This is a practical measure to allow us to deliver your plant safely; it does not mean the plant itself has been cut back to the same height. You can provide a suitable support and carefully train the growing stem after delivery.
