The Pendolino Olive Tree is a distinctive weeping olive variety, prized for its elegant pendulous branches and sculptural Mediterranean form. Often called the “universal pollinator,” Pendolino olive trees are essential additions to any olive grove, improving fruit yields across multiple cultivars including Frantoio, Leccino, and Manzanillo.

Not all olive trees grow upright. The Pendolino Olive Tree is prized for its naturally weeping, pendulous form, with long, slender branches that arch and drape gracefully as the tree matures. The result is a softer, more sculptural silhouette than traditional olive varieties — ideal for courtyards, terraces and statement planting.
Originating from Italy, Pendolino combines elegant movement with classic Mediterranean character. Its fine evergreen foliage catches the light beautifully, creating year-round structure and visual interest, whether planted in the ground or grown in a large container.
Less common than upright olive trees, Pendolino is often chosen for its ornamental appeal, bringing a relaxed, flowing feel to modern and Mediterranean-style gardens alike.

If you want to keep your Olive Tree in a pot then that is possible too! Top dress every year with fresh compost and feed with our organic slow release feed. Soak your potted Olive tree regularly throughout the growing months. April – October.
