Impruneta terracotta has a distinctive burnt orange colouring. Our suppliers produce the pots using methods developed in Renaissance Italy. The same techniques remain in use today amongst the seven potters left in Impruneta who are licensed to produce Impruneta terracotta. The village of Impruneta has been producing terracotta for hundreds of years and still has kilns or ‘fornace’ dating back to 1098.
Their aesthetic nature is such that they will add some ‘Italian garden magic’ to your garden. Time is the medium in which a garden grows. These statues will age with elegance and are both salt and frost resistant and will last a lifetime.
